Why Consider Bamboo?

As you may know, Bamboo is flooding the market place these days. It is being used in flooring, kitchen articles, building materials, and now in the manufacture of luxurious, lush-feeling fabrics for bed, bath linens and robes, as well as wardrobes. Bamboo appears to be the up and coming fabric of the future due to its manifold attributes of appeal. Bamboo fabric has the luster of silk and the feel of cashmere and is perfect for persons with skin sensitivities and/or allergies. Bamboo fabric is strong, long lasting, yet retains its lustrous softness and vibrant color wash after wash. The fiber stays breathable for warm weather comfort and is warmer than similar cotton articles in cooler weather. When used in the manufacture of bath linens or robes, the fabric is surprisingly 60% more absorbent than even Egyptian cotton of similar manufacture. Bamboo is eco-friendly as well; because, as a sustainable resource it uses less energy to produce, and as a result has a very low impact on the world.

With its hypo-allergenic, anti-microbial, anti-static, and mold resistant qualities it might just be the fabric of choice worth a try for softer towels or luscious bath robes when adding to your bath essentials.
